800 Antique Cigar Molds Upcycled for Limited Edition 7-pack Samplers

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Alec Bradley Cigar Company has announced the pre-sale of its upcoming US exclusive release- ‘Reclaimed,’ a Limited Edition 7-pack sampler, presented in real factory-worn cigar molds each adorned with the Alec Bradley Reclaimed logo. Only 800 of these individually numbered, highly collectible Reclaimed sets will be released. Each seven cigar set contains a Black Market, Medalist, Prensado, Magic Toast, Maxx, Gatekeeper, and Tempus blends each rolled to a 6¼” x 54 Figurado at their original respective factories.

The company “reclaimed” 800 antiquated cigar molds to start, ultimately saving them from obsolescence and destruction. Each upcycled mold is unique in source, wear, and size. To safely hold the seven Figurados, a rectangular cigar slot was carefully routed into the center of each mold. Additionally, the dimensions of each Reclaimed sampler are also identical in order to protect the structural integrity of even the smallest mold in the lot. What makes this project different is, unlike most Alec Bradley projects where the branding is built around the cigar, Reclaimed’s contents were built around the container.

800 antique cigar molds were upcycled to hold seven of Alec Bradley’s top-rated cigars, each rolled in a classic Perfecto shape.

“Reclaimed epitomizes the creative nature of Alec Bradley, the cigar culture and tobacciana,” said Alec Bradley Director of Sales & Marketing, Jonathan Lipson. “Each individually numbered Reclaimed factory-worn cigar mold is unique and the ultra-limited cigars enclosed are exclusive to the sampler. Reclaimed provides our brand advocates the opportunity to experience premium cigar history.”

Choosing a vitola for the project could only come after establishing the carved out mold’s capacity. Once the dimensions were confirmed, a 6 1/4″ x 54 ring-gauge Figurado was selected for its sleek lines and unique silhouette to complement the rugged beauty of a re-envisioned cigar mold. The rarity of both the sets and singular cigars are sure to make Reclaimed a prized possession for any cigar connoisseur able to procure one.

“These 800 cigar molds may have reached the end of their manufacturing process lifecycle, but their usefulness and novelty have yet to expire,” said second generation cigar maker, Bradley Rubin. “Repurposing them to house limited edition cigars is a fun way to bring a little piece of the factory to our customers and enhance the overall smoking experience.”

The Alec Bradley Reclaimed samplers are scheduled to arrive at Alec Bradley appointed U.S. tobacconists ahead of the holiday season. CA

What would be your suggestion on how to acquire a box of these AB Reclaimed samplers?

Know a high-end distributor that is always looking out for their customers. I was able to purchase two of these myself and I shared the cigars with my military cohorts. Start asking your local b&m shops.
