Cigar News: Cohiba Riviera Cigars Will Release As Full Time Collection

Riviera Marks First Mexican Wrapper and Box-Pressing for Cohiba

Cohiba Cigars is introducing its first new full-time collection since 2020 with Cohiba Riviera cigars. The line is named for the region of Mexico that includes the lush San Andrés Tuxtla Valley, the source of Riviera’s wrapper. The cigars also boast a six-region blend handcrafted with the finest, most select Central American tobaccos.

Cohiba Riviera marks the first time a Mexican San Andrés wrapper has been used in a Cohiba blend and is the first box-pressed offering from the brand.

“Cohiba Riviera is a bold yet balanced blend of the most exceptional tobaccos from Nicaragua with exclusively-grown tobaccos from Honduras,” said Cohiba Brand Ambassador Sean Williams.

Handcrafted in Nicaragua at STG Estelí, the three-cigar collection features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper that caps an Honduran-grown Connecticut binder, plus filler tobaccos that include proprietary Honduran Jamastran and Honduran La Entrada, as well as Nicaraguan Condega and Nicaraguan Estelí.

Mr. Williams had this to say about the Cohiba Riviera smoking experience: “Cohiba Riviera is rich and rewarding and befitting of Cohiba’s status as an ultra-premium cigar brand. Medium-to-full bodied and adorned with a delectable wrapper from Mexico, Riviera is an elegant selection offering notes of dark chocolate and coffee bean with a hint of leather and subtle cream on the finish.”

Cohiba Riviera will ship to retailers in May in the following three sizes:
Cohiba Riviera Robusto (5” x 52) – $19.99 msrp/cigar; box of 20 cigars
Cohiba Riviera Toro (6½” x 52) – $21.99 msrp/cigar; box of 20 cigars
Cohiba Riviera Perfecto (6” x 60) – $23.99 msrp/cigar; box of 10 cigars
