Limited Edition Collection Joins Davidoff’s 2023 “The Difference” Campaign
Basel, Switzerland – For the second time this year, Davidoff Cigars surprises its loyal aficionados with a limited edition of an iconic White Band Collection cigar which was most beloved in its day. As part of its ongoing 2023 “The Difference” campaign, the brand has launched the Millennium Lancero Limited Edition Collection; a re-stage of the former Millennium Blend Lancero.
“Back in its day, the Millenniun Blend Lancero was renowned for being the format to fully enjoy the blend’s special 151 wrapper,” said Oettinger Davidoff AG CMO, Edward Simon. “Today, the reborn, limited-edition cigar once again stands representative of our ceaseless pursuit for perfection.”
Simon also pointed out that it took Davidoff’s Master Agronomists 300 trials to create the special hybrid seed for the Ecuadorian wrapper leaf used on this cigar. Additionally, the cigar’s pigtail format requires the rolling skills of only the most experienced torcedores.
The Millennium Lancero Limited Edition Collection Taste Experience
A Mexican binder encases four different filler Dominican tobaccos all capped with the proprietary Ecuadorian 151 wrapper. Rolled to a 7″ x 40-ring gauge, the Lancero presents an intense yet refined taste experience. Notes of oak wood and coffee lead-off and reveal an aroma of sweet prunes. Dark chocolate complements intense flavors of almonds and white pepper at the midsection, while pronounced flavors of peat are augmented by sharp white pepper and licorice in the final inches. Overall, the smoke issues a medium-plus body up to 45 minutes.

The launch of the Millennium Lancero Limited Edition Collection marks the second of four limited-edition releases within the framework of the brand’s “Cigar History Re-Rolled” concept, an integral part of Davidoff’s The Difference campaign. The Difference aims to infotain Davidoff’s loyal fans with interesting and detailed insights into the brand’s unique cigar creation process. These insights underline the highly-acclaimed Davidoff White Band Collection lines: Davidoff Signature, Grand Cru, Aniversario and Millennium, while offering a fascinating, behind the scenes glimpse at Davidoff’s extraordinary efforts to stand out from the pack.

The Davidoff Millennium Lancero Limited Edition Collection will be available at select Davidoff Appointed Merchants, premium cigar retailers and in all Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagship stores.
