First released in 2019 by Altadis U.S.A., the Henry Clay War Hawk pays homage to its namesake, Henry Clay, who rose to Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives in the early 1800s and was the leading voice in boldly applying pressure on President James Madison to defend the young nation. The term “War Hawk” was coined and is still used today in political circles.
