2023 Blend Highlights The Crafts Of Cigar And Whiskey Making

The third iteration of Weller by Cohiba^® has begun debuting at retail shops across the US. And like previous Weller By Cohiba cigar releases, the limited-edition cigar blend includes prime tobacco aged in bourbon barrels.

This 2023 release of Weller by Cohiba features a Connecticut-grown Broadleaf binder leaf aged in authentic Weller Bourbon barrels. The aging barrels, which come from the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, KY, have been transported to General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago, DR, where the cigars were crafted.

Starting with a Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper, the core blend consists of specially-selected filler tobaccos from Nicaragua’s Esteli and Jalapa regions, plus a pinch of Brazilian Mata Fina. Notes of earth, oak, and black pepper lead with an intriguing smack of molasses. Meanwhile, the hearty, barrel-aged Connecticut Broadleaf binder adds its own unique flavor and aroma to the blend.

Weller by Cohiba 2023 is released in a one size, 6” x 50 Toro and features Cohiba and Weller Bourbon branding. Individual Weller by Cohiba cigars are presented in handsome aluminum tubes and sell for a suggested retail price of $24.99 per cigar, and the box of 10 sells for $249.99 MSRP. CA
