Cigar of the Week: Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8
Here’s a little cigar trivia for you, too. Do you know how this cigar got to be called the “8-5-8?”
“…My father showed me how to blend the tobaccos into a shape which later became known as the Flor Fina 8-5-8®. And when my father passed away at the age of 85, as a way of honoring him and as a means of expressing our eternal love for him, we called it 8-5-8 so that the number would be legible from both directions. It became very well accepted almost immediately. Since he was instrumental in originating this cigar, I am sure he would be delighted to know that the 8-5-8 is still our largest selling shape.” – Carlos Fuente Sr.
The Flor Fina 8-5-8 is one of those “must-smoke” cigars. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure, get your hands on one – and quickly, too – they don’t stay in stock for very long.
