My Weekend Cigar Review Fiat Lux
VIDEO CIGAR REVIEW: FIAT LUX BY LUCIANO INTUITION
“Let there be light” is the definition of the Latin words, fiat lux. Of course, you can’t smoke this Fiat Lux Luciano Intuition without a light, so here’s the question: Did this Robusto help our Weekend Cigar reviewer attain some enlightenment or keep him in the dark?
Let There Be Lux by Luciano
The Fiat Lux selection by Luciano debuted in 2021 and followed The Dreamer and The Traveler as the third cigar in the Luciano line. The cigar gets its name from the Latin, “let there be light,” which was also used as a reference during Europe’s Enlightenment period.
In an interview about the Fiat Lux cigars selection ACE Prime president, co-owner, and master blender, Luciano Meirelles said: “When imagining and developing Fiat Lux, the process was intimate, reflecting a desire to create a cigar that would be an invitation to introspection and an exploration of how the flavors of a complex blend can reflect the singularity of the human experience. Like it did for me, I hope this cigar gives everyone the opportunity to just let some light in.”
Now in full production, Fiat Lux by Luciano is made in four sizes: Acumen (6x56), Genius (5½x52), Insight (5 5/8x 46), and Intuition (5x50).

Fiat Lux by Luciano Intuition Cigar Review
Both of my Intuition Robustos were neatly rolled in a slightly veiny and leathery-looking wrapper. The cigar was well-packed, the cap was perfectly rounded, and the seams were evenly applied.
The cap cut cleanly and the cold draw was a bit tight with a salty and a slightly herbal taste. Once lit, the cigar issued a salty, leathery flavor. Following that, the early flavors that developed were nutty, leathery, and floral with a hint of sweetness. By the first half inch the smoke was already creamy and medium-bodied.
With one inch gone, the cigar was burning evenly. The draw opened up a little more, too. Still medium in body, the smoke took on a dense woody-leathery flavor. At that point a long, gravity-defiant ash began to form which, incredibly, did not respond to tapping until much later.
Well-balanced, still creamy, and now even sweeter, by the midpoint the cigar was a mix of wood, roasted nuts, leather, earth, sweet tobacco and a tangy drive-by spice. It was performing perfectly, and I was beginning to like this cigar a lot.
Even in the last several inches, the Intuition maintained its medium body and the aforementioned flavor profile. And since I was lucky enough not to let the cigar get too hot, the flavors stayed alive leaving only a one and a half inch nub of uncharred territory.
Was Fiat Lux Weekend Worthy?
As my first Fiat Lux, and in fact, my first Luciano cigar, I had no idea what to expect, but I was very impressed with the Intuition.
Just about everything about this Robusto said “perfect cigar.” Yes, I liked it that much, which is one reason I could probably smoke this Fiat Lux every day. I liked the flavors, I liked the balance, the quality of the wrapper, aroma, body, burn, and the construction. Additionally, both of my Fiat Lux Intuitions hit the bullseye in every department.
Thanks to its medium body and smoothness. I believe the Fiat Lux by Luciano Intuition is approachable to cigar smokers at every level. I can't say much more about it other than it’s a must try cigar; and finally, apologies to Luciano Meirelles for being so late to the party.
