Cigars 101

Cigar ring size defined

Q. What is meant by “ring” size?
– Al M.

A. “Ring size” refers to the diameter of the cigar. One ring is equal to 1/64 of an inch, or the average thickness of a tobacco leaf. So a cigar with a 32 ring would be one-half-inch in diameter. Another way of putting it would be, if the cigar description reads “6 x 32,” that would indicate a 6-inch long cigar with a one-half-inch diameter.
