Cigar Question #1: What is Medio Tiempo tobacco?
By Jared Gulick
We received a question from Spencer in Bordertown, Nevada who asks, “What is Medio Tiempo tobacco? I see it listed in some cigars, but when I look it up online, there’s a bunch of different answers. Which one is right? Also, is it true that it’s expensive?” The Medio Tiempo buzz was first stirred up in 2010 with the re-release (and re-blend) of the Cuban Cohiba Behike. Over the last decade, many cigarmakers and enthusiasts have jumped on the bandwagon. Watch this video to get the skinny on why these leaves are so rare, and more importantly, why they add so much flavor to a cigar.

He asked us to explain the process, step-by-step – watch now to see how it’s done. . .

By John Pullo

This is one we “borrowed” from the world of wine tasting – and it’s a key component to judging your cigar’s quality. Watch now for the answers…
