Matt Booth & Justin Andrews Collaborate On New Oliva-Crafted Toro

On Monday, September 25, a new Sancho Panza Limited Edition Toro shipped to cigar retailers nationwide. This release is the fourth Sancho Panza project for the notorious Matt Booth who, with Justin Andrews last year, revamped the three Sancho Panza cigar lines to much applause.

“Following the big news around Sancho Panza last year, we agreed the brand deserved a heightened level of focus this year,” said Matt Wilson, senior brand manager of Sancho Panza. “So we developed a special blend to continue the dialogue around Sancho.”

It all starts with an Ecuador Habano wrapper over an Ecuador Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Condega, Estelí, and Somoto. The cigar is medium-bodied with hints of spice and exceptionally smooth. Booth calls it, “an episodic adventure in taste and transition that upon ignition will take the smoker in a vice-like grip of enhanced enjoyment.”

The Oliva Cigar Co. blending team not only had a hand in crafting the Sancho Panza Limited Edition with Booth and Andrews, the company was also responsible for the production.

“We have always had both, a respect and an adoration for the products that come out of the Oliva facility,” said Booth. “We felt it appropriate to produce with them because their signature direction to cigar composition aligned perfectly with what we were looking to achieve for Sancho Panza.
