La Campiña Robusto Cigar

Score: 7.5

By Rick Pate (a.k.a “Tachammer” at Cigarzilla.net)

Smooth, mild to medium bodied. First one cracked up to the band after ¼ the way in. After some humi time, the second one made it to the end with no cracking. Since the cracking seemed to have more to do with humidification than construction, I didn’t consider that should affect the score.

Burn for both was a little uneven but no runners or tunneling and never needed correcting.  Nice finish even though a little faint lasts a long time.

Flavor was the only part that was difficult for me to rate. Though it wasn’t bad, there wasn’t much to remember about the taste, which I would best describe as “neutral.”

Appearance – 7
Construction – 8
Burn (ash, etc.) – 7
Draw – 9
Flavor – 6
Aroma – 8
Final Score: 7.5 on the “tac-o-meter.”
