CA Report: Top New Cigars (Aug 17 2020)

You know, people keep complaining to me about quarantine, but to me, it means more time on the deck in that glorious sunshine with my cigars. It’s hard to complain about that. But one COVID challenge that’s reared its ugly head for us is the difficulty in receiving shipments. The cigarmakers we love are taking their employees’ health and safety seriously, and if that means a few less sticks making their way to the new cigar rack, that’s okay with me. As they funnel through, I still try every last one of them, and the blends that impress me most make their way here.  
 
In this edition of Top New Cigars, we have a new arrival from Tabacalera USA, and a light-hearted take on an old flame from Joya de Nicaragua. Join me as I give a brief review of both, and as always, let me know what new cigars you’re smoking in the comments below!

Henry Clay War Hawk Rebellious

Last year, Henry Clay War Hawk helped redefine the Connecticut genre. Its spicy predisposition made it an instant hit with fuller-bodied fans who wanted mellower smoke with a pulse. Shut The Box is a traditional English pub game that requires patience. A perfect match for this Antaño special edition, which is best enjoyed when you’re taking your time, savoring every puff. The box comes with both 20 cigars and everything you need to play the game.
