THE LATEST CIGARS FROM DREW ESTATE, STEVE SAKA, & DIESEL…REVIEWED!

The front lawn is about three inches too high and these extreme temperatures are gonna ensure it doesn’t get cut any time soon. A moment of silence for my impatient HOA, please.

Wait, why am I worrying? I can hire someone to do it and let them sweat it out! Now to set up on the back porch watching some poor soul run circles around my yard. Me, I’m soaking up some smoking time with fresh, new cigars and a cooler filled with icy brews. Life’s not so bad after all—even in a heatwave.

On the menu: fresh sticks from Drew Estate, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, and Diesel. Check out my reviews and drop details on which new premiums you’ve been smoking in the comments below!

Drew Estate Deadwood: The Girl With No Name Robusto Extra

Wrapper: Indonesia Sumatra Maduro (Sweetened Cap)
Binder: Proprietary
Filler: Proprietary

The latest entry to Drew Estate’s Deadwood series, and a Famous Smoke Shop exclusive size of 5” x 54, The Girl With No Name brings a sweet and aromatic bouquet of tobaccos to the table. Sounds good but how does it score on flavor? Gary identified “fennel, clove, cinnamon, and mixed light spices” as the blend’s primary flavors in his #NowSmoking cigar review. Expect a mellow smoke that borders on medium-bodied at times that’s as fragrant as it is tasty.

The stigma on sweet-tipped cigars be damned—Deadwood is the kind of premium to smoke when the heat gets to this level of ignorant.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Todos Las Dias Mas Fuerte

Wrapper: Nicaraguan Sungrown Cuban seed
Binder: Nicaraguan Jalapa
Filler: Nicaraguan Estelí

After a hiatus due to tobacco shortages, Todos Las Dias Mas Fuerte makes a highly anticipated return to our humidor. Steve Saka was able to secure enough tobacco for a small batch run, making Mas Fuerte’s 6” x 46 format a limited-edition release. All fine and dandy…but how does it taste? Building slowly from an initial medium body, Mas Fuerte turns spicier in the second half with notes of sweet cayenne peppers, earth, coffee, and hint of dark cocoa. It’s strong. Consider smoking it in an air-conditioned smoking room or lounge, or waiting until well after sundown!

Diesel Fool’s Errand Simple Fool

Wrapper: Ecuador Sumatra
Binder: Nicaragua Habano
Filler: Nicaragua Habano

The second installment of Diesel’s Fool’s Errand trilogy, Simple Fool, has landed on my desk…and lemme tell you…it’s everything you’d expect from an AJ Fernandez cigar: pepper and spice for days. Like the original Stubborn Fool, Simple Fool boxes come with an interactive game that you can play to win Diesel-themed prizes. Expect flavors of earth, dark wood, nuts, and a floral finish via the blend’s all Nicaraguan core. And at its price of just $10 per cigar, you can even tip your newly found yard guy with one.
