Dare I say…a trendsetter.

Whatever your summer plans may be, we’ve made it easy to savor the season. Check out my short list of top new cigars from Crowned Heads, Warped, and Nestor Miranda, and let me know which ones you’ve been smoking in the comments below.

Le Pâtissier by Crowned Heads (New Sizes!)

Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua & Costa Rica

Le Patissier is back and better than ever! After hitting the ground running in 2021 with the original 6” x 44 vitola, Crowned Heads is adding four more popular shapes that weigh in up to a 52-ring. Le Patissier’s flavors sit on the darker, bolder side of the fence with notes of earth, coffee, potent spices, and an almost meaty disposition. If you haven’t yet taken the “Patissier plunge,” now—with the sun shining brightly above—is the perfect time to do it!

Nestor Miranda Special Selection Connecticut

Wrapper: Ecuador Connecticut
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Honduras, Nicaragua, & Dominican Republic

When it comes to flying under the radar, Nestor Miranda is like a small bird surrounded by 747s. The brand’s lack of headlines, however, is more than countered by quality and flavor. Nestor’s latest releases are dubbed ‘Special Selection’ and are rolled with two distinct wrappers. Connecticut (shown above) and a bolder Rosado blend for more experienced palates. Special Selection Connecticut smokes smooth and creamy with notes of vanilla, cedar, leather, earth, and medium-bodied spices. And with a price well under $10 per stick, there’s just no downside.

The Devil’s Hands by Warped

Wrapper: Nicaragua Shade Grown Corojo 99
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua

Release after release, Warped remains one of the boutique cigar realm’s top performers. Their latest blend, The Devil’s Hands, hails from Aganorsa Leaf’s Esteli-based factory with a medium-bodied rush of flavor from a hearty Nicaraguan puro recipe. We’re talking flavors of leather, oak, roasted almonds, and a dusting of zesty cinnamon sweetness…the blend certainly earns its horns. Wait ‘til the sun goes down, light up the firepit, and burn a Devil’s Hands for an epic summer herf with the boys.
