Cigar News: Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan & Shamrock Cigars

Alec Bradley’s Candela Wrapped Cigars Return

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Alec Bradley Cigar Company recently announced that the Limited Edition, Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock cigars will be returning to cigar retailers this year.

This year’s releases will include 2000 boxes of the 24-count Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole selection, and 1500 boxes of the 10-count Filthy Hooligan Shamrock cigars. Both cigars are blended with premium, ‘first grow’ Candela wrappers, which also represent the arrival of the spring season, and are shipped annually to arrive in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

“We love using ‘first grow’ Candela wrapper in different combinations,” said Alec Bradley founder, Alan Rubin. “The double-wrapped Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole and the tri-wrapper Filthy Hooligan Shamrock have great sweetness, complexity and balance. Our candela has really unique flavor characteristics which enthusiasts seek out in our annual releases.”

Rolled to 6″x 50 Toro shapes, the Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole includes a dark Nicaraguan Jalapa leaf added for richness and balance, while the Candela leaf on Filthy Hooligan Shamrock boasts Nicaraguan Habano Maduro and Natural wrappers for additional complexity. Below decks are an Ecuadorian binder that encases Panamanian & Honduran fillers.

The Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock are produced at Tobacos De Oriente, Danli, Honduras and will retail for $11.50 and $13.65, per cigar, respectively.

“I’m extremely proud of the Filthy Hooligan series,” added Alan. “A little known fact is that Shamrock was actually my first project at Alec Bradley.”
