#nowsmoking @famoussmokeshop: The H. Upmann Connecticut by Grupo de Maestros offers a “well-balanced and smooth, smooth, smooth” cigar laced with notes of sweet spice, oak, and cafecito.

Country of Origin: Dominican Republic
Size: 6″ x 50
Strength: Medium
Wrapper: Connecticut Shade (Ecuador)
Binder: Dominican Republic
Filler: Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and proprietary Piloto Cubano
Dominant Flavors: Sweet spices, oak, cafecito, white pepper

Where it’s at: Some cigars taste as good as they look, and this one is gorgeous. Evenly packed with a flawless, silky blonde wrapper and a Maduro cap. Pre-light is salty with some leather, as initial puffs reveal salted caramel. Some white pepper weaves into the mix of sweet spice, oak, and cafecito. Good volume of smoke. Flavors are consistent throughout. Retrohale is creamy with a hint of caramel. Well-balanced and smooth, smooth, smooth. This cigar hit on all counts making it one of the best “Connecticut” cigars I’ve smoked all year.
