red wine and cigar pairings Inferno Flashpoint Maduro cigars nowsmokingWhere it’s at: Opulent and sumptuous with a generous amount of ligero. Draw reveals dense, creamy smoke. Leather and cocoa lead-off; a woodier profile follows. Well-balanced flavors of dark chocolate, cedar, sweet spice, and espresso ensue, underscored by black pepper. Later, bolder flavors emerge with no bitterness.

I smoked a few Inferno Flashpoint “Toros” (actually perfectos) maduro, and they’re a good cigar. But, I think the Famous Nicaraguan 7000 Torpedo is better. Don’t get me wrong, the inferno is a good cigar. But, the 7000 has more of the flavors, while remaining smooth to the end. It’s a matter of comparing the Nicaraguan med-full bodied category. And, it’s my opinion, and that of others, that the 7000 doesn’t stand out. I’d enjoy watching you and your comrades smoke\rate these cigars.
