Partagas 1845 Clasico Robusto: “A solid and highly consistent ‘morning, noon, or night’ smoke for newbs and vets.” See what else you need to know about this cigar in under 2 minutes
#nowsmoking: Pappy Van Winkle Tradition Toro
Factory: La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate – Estelí, Nicaragua
Size: 6″ x 50
Strength: Medium – Full
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro
Filler: Nicaragua, Dominican Republic
Dominant Flavors: Leather, sweet spices, oak
Where it’s at: Beautifully handcrafted and finished with a shiny, leathery wrapper. Initial flavors stake notes of leather, sweet spices, and oak. The smoke is creamy, aromatic, and medium-bodied throughout the first half. The oak flavor is more defined in the second half, while the sweet spice drifts along gracefully in the current below. The last third transitions to a more full-bodied smoke as the flavors intensify. For this review I paired my Toro with coffee, but pairing it with a fine Bourbon reveals even more flavor nuances. Speaking of which. . .
