#nowsmoking @famoussmokeshop: Created by Drew Estate to pair perfectly with Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon, the Pappy Van Winkle Tradition Toro offers a well-balanced, medium-full smoke with notes of leather, sweet spice, and oak.

Factory: La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate – Estelí, Nicaragua
Size: 6″ x 50
Strength: Medium – Full
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro
Binder: Indonesia
Filler: Nicaragua, Dominican Republic
Dominant Flavors: Leather, sweet spices, oak

Where it’s at: Beautifully handcrafted and finished with a shiny, leathery wrapper. Initial flavors stake notes of leather, sweet spices, and oak. The smoke is creamy, aromatic, and medium-bodied throughout the first half. The oak flavor is more defined in the second half, while the sweet spice drifts along gracefully in the current below. The last third transitions to a more full-bodied smoke as the flavors intensify. For this review I paired my Toro with coffee, but pairing it with a fine Bourbon reveals even more flavor nuances. Speaking of which. . .

If you want to taste this combination for yourself, Leaf Cigar Bar Restaurant & Lounge will be hosting a Pappy Van Winkle dinner on Monday, January 28th where you’ll get to pair-up with three Pappy Van Winkle Bourbons (10, 12, and 20 year-aged), over a six course meal. Plus, you’ll receive a Liga Privada No. 9, a Liga Privada T52, and Pappy Van Winkle. Only 20 tickets will be sold for this very limited engagement, so if you want to get in on this exclusive event click here for details on the complete menu and more.
