So the Famous Cigar Blog is back here at Famous Smoke Shop and it’s truly better than ever. Why do I say that? Because this is Famous – we do everything bigger and better than anyone else out there, and we say that with a proud confidence. We love cigars, we live the lifestyle and immerse ourselves in the culture.
For some reason, the powers that be picked yours truly to write this Welcome Back Blog, hopefully because of my witty and whimsical Polish / Italian north Jersey persona… or it could be that the other writers are stuck in traffic this morning. But hey, whatever the reason, if you know me at all, you know that I am one passionate son of a bitch when it comes to talking about the world of the hand rolled tobacco goodness.
We’d like you to know that there are a few important goals we want to accomplish with this Blog that are all about benefiting you. This is a place for cigar lovers to turn to each day, kind of an escape – a bastion if you will, for those of us who long for the leafy lifestyle. Our writers will share our knowledge of cigars, along with great anecdotes, the sticks we smoke, and news that is vital to this hobby we hold in such high regard. We’ll educate, share our personal stories, make you laugh, and even piss you off with some of the blatant stupidity that’s going on out there with the Draconian laws and taxes as the Smoke Nazis continue to rain down upon our puro-loving parade.
Guys, it’s no secret that there are many out there who want to eradicate this lifestyle we love, as their goal for tobacco genocide is something we simply cannot let happen. Come on, this is still America, damn it, cigars are a legal product that employ a massive amount of good, hard working people, and every single one of us is sick and tired of being treated like third class pieces of garbage. The FDA is hell bent on regulating our industry and if they get their way, we’ll all be telling our grand children about a time long ago when men and women could live the life they chose and that cigar smoking was a pleasure we once knew.
Say now, did I forget to mention in all of this that I’m insane for cigars? I’ve been enjoying these hand rolled premium pleasures for almost two decades now and I have no intention of letting these rights-eradicating ass hats drop their steaming piles of fascism into my humidor. I’m incredibly fortunate to meet and talk shop with many of today’s most lauded cigar makers, including the likes of Jonathan Drew, Nick Perdomo, Rafael Nodal, Jorge Padron, Charlie Torano, Christian Eiroa, Pete Johnson, Rocky Patel, George Rico, Michael Giannini and Eddie Ortega, just to name a few. These men have a passion for their craft that is infectious and cannot even be measured in human words. We’ll bring you behind the scenes and give you exclusive content on what’s up with these masters – the kind of inside stuff you won’t find anywhere else but on the Famous Cigar Blog!
