Cusano 18 Paired Maduro Churchill 5 Pack cigars start with a rare 1985 Dominican Oro/Seco wrapper leaf filler. The Double Connecticut adds rich Dominican Piloto Ligero and San Vicente Olor filler with a Connecticut Shade binder & wrapper for a rich and creamy medium-bodied smoke. The Paired Maduro adds Brazilian Mata Fina & Dominican Piloto leaf to the filler, plus a '99 San Vicente Olor binder rolled in a toothy Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper for a more full-flavored, yet medium-bodied smoke. Affordably-priced, too!
The Cusano 18 has been on my list of must try cigars, but when at the shop I could not remember whether to get the maduro or the natural - I opted for the maduro. The cigar smelled great out of the wrapper - delightful. After giving it a few days in my humi at 70% I decided to try it out. Yowza! The first taste through the first inch was terrible. I decided to see what happened after the first inch; it mellowed out, but never approached anything I would consider a good cigar. I smoke a variety of cigars, and was very disappointed in this smoke. I will try the natural since it got much higher ratings. My bad.0 0
I liked the thick smoke it provided, plus it had a good mild taste to it. The 18 years of aging made it much better.0 0
