Don Felo Panatela cigars come to you by way of Rancho Jamastran in Honduras - the same good folks who bring you Baccarat, La Fontana and Camacho cigars. Don Felo Panatela cigars are handmade from 100% Habano seed tobaccos grown and cured in Honduras. Mild to medium in taste and priced low enough to smoke daily, Don Felo Panatela cigars are a good value.
Well worth this cheap price. When you light up it bursts with premium flavor and bouquet. You wonder how the cigar can be sold this inexpensively. As you smoke a few you may encounter inconsistencies in draw and burn. But the ones that are right make it worth the occasional minor flaws. None are duds!I m wondering if these are actually big name factory seconds. You want to smoke em all the way--a can t put it down kind of cigar. But, as I have experienced in every one of these, it s not a smoke to the nub cigar. As it gets down to the nub it s hard to keep lit, a wee bit hot and ashtray-bitter. But I m definitely going to buy more!
I tried three out of the bundle, and won t be smoking the rest. The construction is terrible. Very loose and hard to keep lit. Uneven burning. I could deal with all of that if the flavor was to my liking. Unfortunately I found them very hot and bitter. If you can get by the construction and like a cigar with a bite, they may be fine for you. I put an 84 consistency because all three were the same.
