I recently had the chance to smoke the Huntsman Toro and immediately ordered a jar. Having been gifted the cigar by a friend, I wasn t aware of the price point while smoking it. What a great way to be surprised and a much more honest way of forming an opinion. Rather than thinking of it as a price point cigar, I was able to enjoy it for what it was - a great cigar. Only afterwards was I surprised to find out that it was available for much less than my standard daily smokes. Construction was great, but overall the experience was dominated by a flavorful and balanced smoke that is well within the reach of everyone s palate. The profiles changed enough to verify distinct flavor changes throughout, making it interesting over the course of the experience. Quality of the tobacco was outstanding as witnessed by my having to put it down for over an hour to break for dinner and coming back to it after to finish the second half. Many times, sub par tobacco will turn bitter because it wasn t processed fully before rolling the cigar. Not the case here. This performed like a premium brand. And to be honest, many premium brands don t hold up to that test I m sure this won t be the last jar I purchase.
This is one of the two recent Famous exclusives. The draw was good, the aroma great, with a solid medium body and good flavor. and on the quality to cost ratio this is a very solid smoke. The only downside is a wavy burn line that went back and forth but eventually corrected itself. This is a very nice smoke at an everyday smoke price.
Bland stiff barley puff-able no flavor 3 still left to give out free.
