HVC 500 Tesoro – a 5 7/8 x 52 Double Robusto - is rolled at the Aganorsa Leaf factory in Nicaragua, the same folks growing some of the most respected Corojo and Criollo leaf outside of Cuba, and home to some of the best boutique cigars on the market. Lorenzo’s HVC 500 Anniversario leans hard into classic, “old Havana” character. It’s a highlight reel of Nicaraguan tobacco: wrapped in Aganorsa’s pristine Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 leaf from Jalapa - silky, aromatic, and naturally spicy - backed by a Jalapa binder and a blend of Corojo ’99 and Criollo ’98 grown in both Jalapa and Estelí.

Flavor-wise, the 500 Anniversary sits square in the medium-bodied sweet spot. We found a steady stream of roasted nuts and baking spices; the smoke has a creamy texture that adds cocoa, earth, coffee beans, and a just-right dash of pepper. The flavor profile is totally wired into the DNA of good Nicaraguan tobacco.
Compared to other HVC lines, the 500 Anniversario feels a bit more polished—less sweet than Hot Cake, more layered than Selección No. 1, and richer than the Golden Line Connecticut.
