Description
Reinier Lorenzo’s HVC Cerro Maduro pays tribute to Havana’s El Cerro neighborhood, but the smoking character is all about dark, savory richness from a Mexican San Andres wrapper over Nicaraguan tobaccos, rolled in Nicaragua. In the 5 1/2 x 58 Robusto Gordo, you get dark chocolate, espresso, leather, earth, pepper, and a natural sweetness that hangs in the background like cocoa powder on roasted coffee beans. Medium in strength and broad in shape, it comes off thick, slow-burning, and satisfying on the palate.
