Tatuaje La Casita Criolla Robusto
Tatuaje La Casita Criolla Robusto 5 Pack
La Casita Criolla cigars offer a truly unique cigar smoking experience. Created by Pete Tatuaje Johnson, the blend is produced at the My Father cigar factory in Nicaragua and consists entirely of specially cured Connecticut Broadleaf tobaccos. The smoke is medium to full in body, offering a smooth, well-rounded mix of nutty, cedary, and sweet tobacco flavors. Among the most stunning additions to the Tatuaje stable, La Casita (Spanish for little house) belongs in every cigar lover's home.
Ordered a Tatuaje sampler pack that consisted of 10 different Tatuaje cigars. Tonight I selected the Casita Criolla robusto. At first light the draw was very loose, it felt like there was not even a cigar in my mouth. The draw was so so loose that I could feel the heat on my tongue. About a 1/2 inch into the cigar it a hot patch ignited about 1/3rd into the wrapper. in other words the cigar was burning from the inside out. The cigar canoed and I adjusted it by cutting off the unburned portion, about a full inch. I could see a tunnel going down the center of the cigar. I cut away at it until the tunnel was gone and a dense face of tobacco was exposed. At this point at least half of the cigar had been cut away. Upon relight, the draw was tighter but still loose compared to other cigars of the same quality and price range. The burn evened out but was still way too hot to enjoy the cigar. I suspect the flavors and burn of this cigar was compromised by the poor construction and I did not get the full experience from it. I put it out with about 1/3rd of it left. Dissapointing is the only word that comes to mind. I will give it another try in the future.
