La Gloria Serie 'R' No. 5 cigars present a bold, complex-tasting blend of robust Nicaraguan Ligero and aromatic Dominican Olor tobaccos skillfully handrolled in oily Ecuadorian Sumatra wrappers. The wide ring size really turns up the volume, too. If you love dark, spicy tobacco flavor, try 5 first!
These start slow, but the flavor grows and is rich. I truly almost burn my fingers smoking these.
15 years ago or so, the market began to introduce more words ring gauge smokes that boasted numerous appreciable qualities. LGC Series R withstood the hype of a lot of that. The bold, spicy flavors and cool, rich smoke were a nice change of pace from the gentle coronas. The No.5 is a great example with just enough to keep you going for about an hour and not let up. I ve not had a bad roll on these. The burn starts and stays true, not harsh not acidic. The finish stays on the palate without becoming ashy out acrid, the bouquet is round and a little sweet. I ve enjoyed both wrapper offerings and both have their viruses. The Ecuadorian Sumatra is a touch of baking spice and cedar while the CN broadleaf maduro is mellow but complex. Lovely smokes that age well.
Great Cigar for the golf course...good for 14 holes.
