The Macanudo Duke of Devon is a classic Corona size cigar made with Macanudo's superb blend of mild, aromatic Dominican and Mexican San Andrean tobaccos enveloped in the smoothest smoking U.S. Connecticut wrappers. One of the world's great cigars. An excellent end of the day smoke.
These cigars looked flawless. Each one was built beautifully. The draw and taste were also good. My major dissappointment was that out of a full box only about four did not canoe on me.
I bought a couple of these at a local cigar store to "try before I bought" (a box), and I'm really glad that I did so. I was very disappointed. This cigar burned very well, it was well-constructed, and smelled good, but it had practically no discernable taste. I like a mild cigar occasionally, but I want SOME taste. I'm not real familiar with Macanudos, so maybe this is what they're supposed to be like. If so, they're simply not my cup o' tea.
I feel after trying all the cigars in the Macanudo Line, and Robust's, the Duke of Devon Natural's are the most consistent for quality, draw, taste, burning, and price.
