Maroma Robusto cigars are mild to medium-bodied handmade cigars featuring a buttery Connecticut wrapper with a smooth-smoking blend of long and short Nicaraguan & Honduran filler tobaccos. The cigar draws easily with a well-balanced mix of earthy-woody flavors, and a deliciously sweet aroma.
Good draw and burn, great taste, by far my favorite among the Maromas I've tried.
The FSS description of the Maroma line intrigued me enough to buy a 5 pack (natural). I have found the description highly accurate: Very mellow, mild to med. strength with creamy, buttery flavors and a hint of cocoa. The cigar itself is "loose" or soft when you squeeze it and it burns a little quicker than most but I really, really like 'em. Don't let the cheap price fool you. If you are considering them, get a 5 pack and judge for yourself. I'm glad I did... they're a fine little smoke!
I won 3 boxes of these for less than the price of two. I had never smoked them and figured if they are no good I have plenty of handouts. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised. They are a really fine cigar. So far everyone has burned perfectly even, draw has been exceptional and the flavor keeps getting better. These go great with morning coffee and they have become my everyday morning cigar. I think these even taste better than Macanudos. Mr. Plasencia keep up the good work.
These are a well kept secret. Smooth and light, perfect with morning coffee. Well constructed, draws well, even burn, holds ash. Flavor is slightly leathery with a bit of earthiness. Soft but pleasant finish. Give these a couple weeks in a humidor and they shine, and get even better over time. These sticks are not going to compete with $10 premiums but for the price they are damned good.
