Named for one of the most colorful and talented men in the cigar business. Hailing originally from Holguin, Cuba, Nestor and his wife Mariana made their home in Miami, FL and started Miami Cigar & Company in 1989. Since Nestor had come from the liquor business, their first cigars were sold through liquor stores. During their first year, in what was then a small family business, the Mirandas sold 40,000 cigars, and today the company is one of the world's leading distributors of premium cigars. In 2014 the Nestor Miranda Special Selection was rebranded and unified under one banner as the Nestor Miranda Collection.
