I have smoked many high end cigars, but this baby is tops. I am totally convinced and SPOILED !!
What's going on here? Not usual for me to give a negative review, as I normally choose wisely. I had really enjoyed the first few of these robusto maduro cigars. Good smell and an acceptable ash. For the money, they were a fantastic buy, with good flavor and a decent draw. Lately, the draw takes too much effort which in turn brings in too much heat, and that has changed the flavor of this once nice burning cigar. I have tried a poker, but the roll is very tight in some areas, which has led to small cracks when trying to push in the poker. My humidor is always on target with humidity and temp, so I have even tried to let them rest. But, to no avail on these boxes. I hope Oliva is attentive to this issue, I have had a lot of respect for their brand of cigars in the past. I just can't justify the effort needed to smoke these and sort through the better ones to do so. This will not deter me from the Oliva NUB's. Those seem to have a good control on them for now. Cigar smoking should be pleasure... not a chore! Thanks to Rene` @ FSS for listening!
This cigar was the BEST smoke I EVER had !!! The taste was so mellow with notes of sweet roasted nuts and chocolate. As it progressed, a robust roasted coffee came into the mix. This has always been my favorite smoke, but the aging just made it more so !I just can t say enough about it. Razor sharp burn to the nub. Tons ofsmoke on an easy draw ! I burnt my fingers on this baby !
This cigar is the most delicious, even burning, best draw, best constructed and most consistent cigar on the market. And that s comparing it to a Cuban Cohiba Maduro 5 !!! And a hell of a lot less expensive too.
How can you go wrong with a Nicaraguan Puro that is aged for 5 years !This is a full flavor stick with delicious notes of cocoa and espresso. Andis so smooth it s unbelievable ! So creamy and oily that lingers. Smoked itto the one inch nub ! The Robusto AND the Churchill !!
A beautifully constructed cigar that was full of nut and coffee flavor. The draw was perfect and the burn was razor sharp.Do yourself a favor and add at least a few of these to your humi !!
I have smoked many high end cigars, but this baby istops. I am totally convinced and SPOILED !!
I was hesitant to buy the Serie O because "Cigar Insider" has never rated the line very great (85-88), with the maduro at the bottom of the scale. But they looked so good in the photo and the few other reviewers' comments enticed me to try them. I let them rest in my humidor for 2 weeks and just smoked the first. What a treat! Smooth, easy draw producing a firm white ash with lots of pleasant smelling smoke. The smoke itself was full of wood and leather tastes with a long creamy finish. I enjoyed this cigar as much as any CI 90+ rated brand! I'll buy more!
Oliva cigars will leave you speechless.
Smooth, tasty, long burning, no runners. I bought a box after the single. Full creamy flavors.
Good burn and perfect draw. Great evening cigar. A new favorite. Would recommend to anyone.
I just finished smoking this cigar. My first experience with Oliva was not so great. It was tirture actually. I tried the Oliva O double robusto churchill and it was flavorless and very strong. This cigar on the other hand, is very well balanced. I never had a cigar draw and burn so perfect. It had nice flavors too. Not flavorful as a Padron, but it was well balanced. I will leave room in my humidor for these.
