The first one I ever smoked was accompanied by about a keg of coffee on a late weekend night drive across the prairie. Between the caffeine and nicotine, it s no surprise I was speeding and got pulled over. They were expecting to find a DUI. I got a warning ticket, but I shouldn t have been driving as amped as I was. Wonderful punchy cigar, very deep leathery overtones. But definitely not a starter cigar. Rewarding for any demanding palate.

Must of the cigars in the market can t withstand cold weather. Some get cracked or unwrapped. This cigars, Onyx, is well constructed and can withstand extreme cold weather without getting down. Is surprisingly excellent.

A pretty tasty cigar for the price. Spicy, peppery flavors. I was annoyed at how tightly rolled one of the cigars was but a slight bite on the head and I was good to go.

sometimes the roll is way to tight bad draw but when good the cigar is awesome.

The Onyx Reserve is a goodbaseline cigar from which to judge the other great ones from. Better than the Punch Elite, not as good as a Padron' or a Rocky Patel. A 90 or A- Cigar. I bought a box of these and I was happy with them but not overly elated. They are a great place for a person who likes Maduro's to start from. I like them; never the less, no matter what the shape, color, or brand, never forget, that in the end the best reviewer is Yourself.

GREAT SMOKE! Highly rated for a reason. The wrappers are beautiful, thick, oily and stay intact. Go ahead and finger roll. Great cocoa and chocolate taste. Taste, in as much as complexity, is THE BEST. Draw is so perfect. I've smoked too many to count and every one is just as good as the last...

This is definitely one of, if not, my favorite cigars to date. The box pressed shape and delightful aroma are the least of the fantastic attributes of this cigar. It's VERY flavorful and when it 'comes in' at about midway, the pleasure jumps tenfold. My wife knows when I'm smoking an Onyx, because I won't come into the house til I burn my fingers - it's that good. She'll look out the door and question "Onyx?", and I'll just smile and nod as I continue my pleasurable experience. I've yet to waste a single draw on this one. For those that had a less than satisfying experience with this cigar, I suggest trying it again. All brands have a klunker every now and then, but I have yet to have one with the Onyx brand.
