Perdomo Grand Cru 2006 Grand Robusto Sun Grown
Perdomo Grand Cru 2006 cigars are deftly handcrafted with Nicaraguan-grown Cuban-seed tobaccos chosen as the Grand Cru (best of the best) from a rare 2006 bumper crop. After fermentation, the tobaccos are aged in Spanish cedar bins for an additional 9 months, then rolled to a fat 60 ring in earthy Sun Grown, silky smooth Connecticut, or savory Double Maduro wrappers. Says Nick, 'Our elegant, well-aged wrappers produces massive flavors of rich, complex Nicaraguan tobaccos.' Order yours now.
WILL ORDER AGAIN. JUST A GREAT SMOKE. MAKES MORNING COFFE REALLY GREAT. GREAT DRAW, BURN AND TASTE.
Wasn't a big fan of the original Grand Cru but really Grand Robusto 2006 sungrown. Medium w/ lots of smoke and earthiness. Bought a box and am happy I did. And I like the 60 ring guage.
The flavors on this one are very full -- a lot of smoke in the draw -- could be because of ring gauge but it seems to be a conveyor belt of smoke at you. But the flavors are very one note -- no real complexity to speak of, just heavy. The construction was loose which probably contributed to the draw. The final third is where the wheels come off and the wrapper cracks up and starts peeling off. I could only smoke the first 2/3 or so before it came apart so much that it was impossible to continue.
