i think this is a fantastically flavored cigar. Just perfectly blended that gives a real even burn with great tasting notes - earthy, cedar and nuts. I really like them for any afternoon or evening smoke with a glass of wine or bourbon.
I took the dog out for our nightly golf course walk. About one and a half holes to be exact and then about a half mile around back to the house.I pulled out an 1834 to take out on maneuvers so to speak.V cut it and took a cold draw and smiled as the draw was to me, perfect.Toasted it then lit and was met with a nice woody initial hit with some mild spice. but not a lot of leather, which is what I like in a cigar; mild leather . After the 1st third I was met with a nice spice / nuttiness that had me thinking about a Padron though, this 1834 is not a Padron by any means.I enjoyed this cigar on my walk until I noticed that I was walking a little funny. This baby has got what I call a stealth punch that sneaks up on you and slaps you around.A great cigar for after meals when you are sitting around with a bourbon or scotch but, not driving or riding or even walking around a golf course.I will keep some of these in my humidors for sure and the price is fair.A cigar you need to try for sure, just have a nice chair to be in. LOL
This is a wonderful starter smoke, smooth all the way through with little change in taste. Great for beginners and seasoned smokers alike. I like this as a morning smoke with coffee, recommended pairing, not overwhelming in taste. Looking for a mellow stick from start to finish look no further.
