I wouldn t say I m a cigar expert; but these were better than I expected. Were on sale so I thought I d try them. I m used to better tasting RP cigars, so the taste isn t up there.
This cigar looks great, tastes very good, smells good. The only problem I ve encountered is with the burn. Each of three which I ve smoked have all been difficult to keep lit. What I mean is that they have not burned consistently, evenly or sometimes at all. I have had these cigars go out in the middle of a smokey puff. It s almost been like hitting a solid plug. I have tried these smokes with a punch, a cutter and a V-Notch cut. Same problem with inconsistent burn. If not for this, the R69 Torpedo would be a good smoke. I will not try these again.
I m a little disappointed, had to relight a lot, skin is too oily for me, had to draw pretty hard. Overall a little harsh, I would not buy again
overall, fairly nondescript, but for the money these cigars are well put together and consistent. generally draw well, although a tendency to burn unevenly or go out if not tended to. not very strong flavored, esp. for a maduro. if you re looking for a cheap version of the edge, this really isn t that. but acceptable, if mediocre.
