Most epic has been conveyed by many phrases throughout history: the bees knees...wicked pissah...today it's El Mas Chingon, and this gallon-full-of-kick-ass comes courtesy of Matt Booth's Room 101 Cigars. Underneath a well-fermented Habano wrapper, a 3-nation coalition of robust leaf from Honduras, Mexico and the Dominican combine to form a juggernaut of flavor; all medium-plus 60 ring smokes, El Mas Chingon not only has kick - it has a full follow-through. An over all pleasant cigar
I received a 3pk as a promtion on a recent order and let it sit my humidor for a month or so. I finally tried it last night. The appearance is ok for a large calibre cigar, fragrance is fine and the pre-light draw is good. I found the first half of the cigar was mellow and nice - burned well, produced lots of smoke and had a nice flavour. At mid point, the gears changed and all of a sudden I had a strong cigar with a bit of pepper. The pepper changed to bitterness as I made my way down to the last third. I went from enjoying myself to survival to the final toss into the yard. As a free-bee - ok - to purchase...not likely.
But to pay a price point of 7.00 to 8.00 stay away...yea ok appearance and construction , but taste and aroma absolutely not there, my guess is low grade tobacco and for this price point there are MANY higher quality cigars out there. In the end this is going to be one of those, in store buy one get one free numbers, if you know what i mean .....get the picture........thats all
