The Muduro wrapper makes it look a little intimidating, but while rich and full, it s not overpowering. You ll know you re smoking a cigar, though. Woody, a scent of leather, perhaps. I always have a drawer full in my humidor. I ve smoked the various sizes; pretty consistent, which is to say great.

One of my favorite cigars period. Lots of smoke that packs a nice punch. Flavors of cedar, leather, ambergris and chocolate right in the nose and a long peppery tobacco finish in the Maduro. If they only had a petite corona for those shorter moments.

The SLR Rothchilde Maduro is my regular smoke. You can t beat the value if you like a full-bodied cigar in this size range. I would not recommend this smoke to an inexperienced cigar smoker - at the least, make sure you have a full stomach ahead of time. My only issue with them is inconsistency in build quality. Even within the same box you can often visibly see some cigars have a bigger gauge than the 54 which is advertised. Draw quality is almost always very good and I rarely have any burn consistency issues maybe 1 cigar out of 3 boxes, if that . For the price though, it s hard to complain at all.

The SLRs are an amazing value. Yes, you ll occasionally get a plugged one, or one that burns uneven, but for the price it s almost excusable. If you like dark, strong smokes I recommend trying these. If you re not a regular cigar smoker, make sure you eat first because they pack a punch, especially the maduro. My one serious complaint is the ring gauge consistency. Some batches are noticeably closer to 52 or 56 than the advertised 54.

Beautiful cigar, excellent draw, burns consistently with no touch up. Most definitely a pleasure smoking this stick.

I first tried these months ago on the word of a friend. I was pleasantly surprised. I love the size of the Robusto 5x54 was perfect. The burn was pretty good with very few touch ups. The strength was was a little strong at times but real good. The flavor was outstanding, first light gets you a nice black pepper flavor. Get past the first third and you will taste the flavors of coffee and chocolate with some dark chocolate flavor. Then at the end you get expresso and chocolate. Over all a great stick and I will be keeping them in my humidor as they are hard to find.

My uncle, a long time smoker who really knows cigars turned me on to these. We used to sit and smoke and watch baseball and i could often get a whole game out of one. We tried many different cigars together including Ghurka, Davidoff, (both great ones) and many others and always came back to this litlte smoke. price is right and they have an interesting burn in that you can smoke them faster and they dont get too hot or smoke em long and slow and they last for a while. I have found that they do best if when i buy a box i put htem in the humidor for a couple of weeks to get them just right. it kept at humidity and temp; these are amazing smokes - especially for the cost.
