"Great potential, spotty execution "
I want to love these cigars, but they make it... moreI want to love these cigars, but they make it difficult. Terrific flavor, aroma, draw and construction in the first box I bought. Every cigar in the second batch was dry as tinder, smelled cheap, and had a cap that popped off as soon as I touched it with a cutter or punch. At that point the entire wrapper would come loose for an inch or two down from the head. Pretty depressing. I've ordered a third box, because the first was so good. We'll see.

w.o.w.! a beautiful looking cigar. Dark oily wrapper. Excellent construction, but the taste was so strong i could not enjoy them. I have smoked cigars for years and have enjoyed many full body cigars but this one is too much for me!
Actually started to feel nauseous afetr several puffs. To bad, if you are looking for a real ass-kicking cigar this might be for you, i returned might with the sorry ramon allones i ordered also.
no problems with famous smoke pricing and service first rate.

This was one of the first "full bodied" cigar... moreThis was one of the first "full bodied" cigars I tired. And after all the others this is the one I keep comming back to. Great value all the way around. I do get an ocassional "bad" one but I guess that is to be expected with a hand made cigar.

This is a more intense experience than the Es... moreThis is a more intense experience than the Escudero, which I also enjoy greatly. More concentrated flavors. Downside is they burn rather rapidly, and somewhat hot. Love them both!

Please don't buy a box of these (Cervantes) a... morePlease don't buy a box of these (Cervantes) and light one up right away - if you do - a lot of the negative comments on this page will ring true. Nice looking smoke, but bitter, un-complex, nothing to write home about, sometimes they have that ammonia thing going on, if they're new. Stored correctly for 6 months & more these change character more than most. They never turn super-powerful, but they become a mild to medium maduro treat - very smooth, with toasty, leathery, coffee-y things going on. + 6 months and they turn into a real steal. Based on smoking 40 of these cigars over 18 months.
