Cigar News: El Rey Del Mundo Shade Grown Cigars Arriving In July

Shade Grown Line is First to Feature Honduran Connecticut Shade Wrapper

Arriving at cigar retailers in July, El Rey del Mundo has released a new, affordably-priced selection, El Rey del Mundo Shade Grown. Handcrafted at HATSA in Honduras, the launch will feature two full-production sizes and one limited edition vitola.

El Rey del Mundo Shade Grown is an Honduran puro line that starts with a mellow Honduran Talanga Valley-grown Connecticut Shade wrapper—a first for the brand. Chosen specifically to impart layers of complexity, an Honduran Jamastran binder and specially-selected fillers from Copan and Jamastran combine to create an indulgent, silky-smooth smoke. Once lit, a roasted nuttiness transitions to notes of earthiness, cream, and eventually builds to hints of spice.

“El Rey del Mundo continues to grow by popular demand,” said assistant brand manager for El Rey del Mundo, Cory Beardsley. “With Shade Grown we are expanding the brand’s range with an everyday smoke that delivers on its promise of complexity. This is a satisfying, anytime smoke and we’re looking forward to sharing it with premium cigar enthusiasts across the country.”

Scheduled to ship on July 1, El Rey del Mundo Shade Grown cigars are distributed by Forged Cigar Company and presented in 20-count wooden boxes. A special limited edition Lonsdale will be available for the launch and only 500 boxes of that frontmark will be released.
