Cigar News: Montecristo Introduces 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante Cigars

The Next Chapter for Montecristo 1935 Cigars is Written

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Altadis U.S.A. has announced the release of the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante. Made at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua, the highly anticipated follow-up to the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua is expected to reach retail tobacconist partners next month.

Last year, the award-winning duo of AJ Fernandez and Rafael Nodal impressed critics and Montecristo cigar loyalists alike by earning both, a “Classic” 95 rating and the 2021 #2 Cigar of the Year by Cigar Aficionado, with the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua No. 2.

Fernandez and Nodal, both Cuban-born, took creating the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary line very seriously.

“This has been a very personal project for both of us for many reasons,” said Mr. Nodal, who is the Head of Product Capability at Tabacalera USA. “The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante is a cigar we are very proud of that uses very rare and expensive tobaccos.”

Like a diamond that’s been nurtured with time and honed to perfection, the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante is a rare gem that will rival the world’s best cigars. All of the tobaccos used in the Edición Diamante are sourced from Nicaragua and were specially selected based on their unique characteristics. These qualities also honor the origin of the iconic brand to deliver what the company calls the “diamond standard” of premium handmade cigars.

The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante will be available in 10-count boxes in the following sizes:
