Innovative Pre-Cut Format Addresses Zino Aficionados’ Needs and Lifestyle

Basel, Switzerland — Oettinger Davidoff is excited to present the latest addition to its Zino Nicaragua line: The Zino Nicaragua Half Corona, a long filler cigar in an innovative new pre-cut format. With this release—which is currently on its way to cigar stores—Zino has responded to its followers’ needs and lifestyle with a short smoke that can be enjoyed “spontaneously – anywhere, anytime.” After adding the 6”x 60 Gordo in 2022, the new 4”x 44 Half Corona will join the existing Zino Nicaragua line-up as a regular production cigar.

“The launch of our new pre-cut Half Corona within our Zino Nicaragua line is a logical consequence of changing lifestyles and an increased demand for flexibility and convenience from our aficionados,” said Oettinger Davidoff CMO Edward Simon. “Our target consumers value spontaneity in their on-the-go lifestyle. The pre-cut allows them to go about their day with the option of enjoying the cigar whenever and wherever they want, as no cutter is required.”

The blend consists of tobaccos from Nicaragua, Ecuador, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. Additionally, the Zino Nicaragua Half Corona is presented in a handy, bright yellow tin of 5, which permits them to be carried safely and securely.

Zino Nicaragua Half Corona Tasting Notes

In a brief enjoyment session of about 20 minutes or so, the cigar begins with pronounced notes of fresh pepper (also very present in the retrohale), with a long finish enhanced by aromas of cedar wood and coffee. Pepper decreases as flavours of salted nuts, leather, and cream arrive. Finally, the cigar closes with flavours of creamy coffee, spice, and dark chocolate, which linger lightly on the finish.

Launch & Availability

The new Zino Nicaragua Half Corona plans to arrive at cigar retailers as early as August 3, 2023 but may vary according to country.
