The Best New Cigar Arrivals at Famous Smoke Shop

Every year, around the same time I begin looking forward to roughly the same things. For the past couple decades, give or take, I’ve eagerly anticipated Thanksgivings filled with great food, great cigars, and too much football. Speaking of Thanksgiving, does anyone watch parades anymore? I’ve never watched one—even by accident. But maybe it’s me. And cigars always seem to taste better when they’re smoked after a hearty meal, maybe among some favorite relatives or friends. If you’re looking for some new blends to try for Turkey Day or are interested in what’s new and interesting here at Famous Smoke Shop, check out this edition of Top New Cigars. This week, get your fill with a 2-cigar debut from Ferio Tego and the first Connecticut wrapped cigar in Partagas’ long history.

Have you enjoyed a new cigar that you think should be on our must-smoke list? We’d love to hear from you! Please give us the details in the comments below!

Partagas Cortado

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut
Binder: Indonesian
Filler: Honduran, Mexican San Andres, Nicaraguan

Partagas is one of the oldest cigar brands still in existence and never released a cigar with a Connecticut wrapper—until now. While dressed in a tobacco leaf with a mellow reputation, Partagas Cortado is anything but the typical Connecticut cigar. While not a strong cigar, a hearty multi-country blend keeps things interesting enough for fans of fuller bodied blends. You’ll be greeted with flavors of cream, spice, and almond with some dark chocolate and raisin-like sweetness as the cigar evolves. A great example of the new school of Connecticut wrapped cigars, Partagas Cortado is a perfect companion for a cup of coffee and can be enjoyed any time of day.

Ferio Tego Elegancia

Wrapper: Ecuadorian
Binder: Dominican Republic
Filler: Dominican Republic, Nicaraguan

Nat Sherman returns—almost.

Buying everything but the name, former Nat Sherman employees Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott are launching their brand—Ferio Tego—with a 2-cigar debut. Herklots reached back into his family’s storied history for the name and logo of the new brand. And while there are plans to revive familiar Nat Sherman favorites like Metropolitan and Timeless, the focus for now is on the top-shelf debut cigars.

Elegancia delivers a complex, medium-plus bodied experience with a flavor profile including baking spice, toast, coffee, caramel, cream, nuts, and vanilla bean. Transitions are seamless as the flavors remain balanced and complementary. Try Ferio Tego Elegancia when you can reserve the time to enjoy a truly luxurious experience.

Ferio Tego Generoso

Wrapper: Honduran Shade Grown
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan

This isn’t your grandfather’s Nat Sherman (to see how Ferio Tego is connected to Nat Sherman, please see above). In fact, Ferio Tego Generoso isn’t a Nat Sherman at all. While plans exist to bring back some old best-selling Nat Sherman blends, this debut from Ferio Tego is an all new, super premium cigar.

Generoso is a full-bodied cigar delivering rich and creamy flavors that’ll remind you of black pepper, dark chocolate, earthiness, black coffee, leather, natural tobacco, and meat. Ferio Tego Generoso is a full-bodied, full-flavored cigar worthy of life’s biggest moments. Try this cigar the next time you’re in the mood to treat yourself to something special.
