Blended by Rafael Nodal and made by Plasencia, this all-Nicaraguan blend is full-bodied with notes of peanuts, sweet spices, and a long, peppery finish. To unwind, why not light up an H. Upmann Hispaniola by Jose Mendez? If that name isn’t too familiar, it’s because he works behind the scenes in a company that’s been providing tobacco to some of the biggest names in the industry for more than 50 years. A medium-bodied blend, it’s crammed with delicious swaths of creamy cedar, toast, spices, and nuts. And at prices well under the $10 price barrier per stick, you can still afford to hire a better DJ for your own party this weekend.

Crafted to pay homage to the archetypes (recurring characters in the dreams and myths of human culture) coined by mythographer Joseph Campbell, Archetype Chapter 3 is offered in two different blends:

What was supposed to take 45 minutes has taken two and a half hours, so it’s time to cut your losses and settle in for the evening with a stout cigar. Trinidad Espiritu’s crafting is entrusted to AJ Fernandez’ San Lotano Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua – so you know you’re in for a solid, full-bodied affair. When blending, Trinidad harked back to the golden era of cigars coming out of the Caribbean in the 60s and 70s, and the smoke is filled with layers of vanilla, citrus, pepper and spice. At less than a 10-spot apiece, you can afford another pumpkin for a second go tomorrow.

You can’t get through October without seeing a pumpkin spice something, and if you’re the type who cleans out the shelves of everything to fit that bill, Tatiana is about to make your autumn.
