Aging Room Bin No. 2

Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua Ometepe
Filler: Nicaragua

Now that all the candy and costume shopping has been done, there’s only a few short weeks before the Christmas crunch takes hold of your budget. Aging Room Bin No. 2 is a super-premium that may serve as your last indulgence for quite a while, and rest assured that your cigar dollar will be well spent. Blended by Rafael Nodal and made by Plasencia, this all-Nicaraguan blend is full-bodied with notes of peanuts, sweet spices, and a long, peppery finish. If top-notch smokes are your preferred delicacy, Bin No. 2 will likely leave you grinning like a jack-o’-lantern.

H. Upmann Hispaniola by Jose Mendez

Wrapper: Ecuador Sumatra
Binder: Dominican Olor
Filler: Dominican Piloto Cubano and Andullo

After hearing “Monster Mash” for the fifth time at a party you wish you hadn’t attended, you’re ready to make your way to the nearest exit and beeline it home to your cigars. To unwind, why not light up an H. Upmann Hispaniola by Jose Mendez? If that name isn’t too familiar, it’s because he works behind the scenes in a company that’s been providing tobacco to some of the biggest names in the industry for more than 50 years. A medium-bodied blend, it’s crammed with delicious swaths of creamy cedar, toast, spices, and nuts. And at prices well under the $10 price barrier per stick, you can still afford to hire a better DJ for your own party this weekend.

Archetype Chapter 3: Dawn of Destiny and Sacred Scales

Wrapper: Ecuador Sumatra/Mexican San Andres Maduro
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua

Crafted to pay homage to the archetypes (recurring characters in the dreams and myths of human culture) coined by mythographer Joseph Campbell, Archetype Chapter 3 is offered in two different blends:

Both cigars have eye-popping, pastel-colored bands and steadily balance their complexity and strength through a plume of aromatic smoke. Cater to the mysterious side of your psyche and you may end up with a new duo to add to your rotation.

Trinidad Espiritu

Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua

No matter how much time you spend, you just can’t get that pumpkin carving to look like the picture you found. What was supposed to take 45 minutes has taken two and a half hours, so it’s time to cut your losses and settle in for the evening with a stout cigar. Trinidad Espiritu’s crafting is entrusted to AJ Fernandez’ San Lotano Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua – so you know you’re in for a solid, full-bodied affair. When blending, Trinidad harked back to the golden era of cigars coming out of the Caribbean in the 60s and 70s, and the smoke is filled with layers of vanilla, citrus, pepper and spice. At less than a 10-spot apiece, you can afford another pumpkin for a second go tomorrow.

Tatiana Harvest Moon

Wrapper: Indonesian Sumatra
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican

You can’t get through October without seeing a pumpkin spice something, and if you’re the type who cleans out the shelves of everything to fit that bill, Tatiana is about to make your autumn. When smokers are looking for infused cigars, they turn to Tatiana for its large menu of flavors. Among the newest of their roster is Harvest Moon, and it just might be the ultimate Halloween herfer. Lighting one up is like enjoying a pumpkin spice latte – without the cup. It’s smooth, sweet, and filled with autumn appeal. If you’re throwing a cigar-o-ween bash this year, this is a sure-fire winner to hand out to your guests in a goodie bag.
