Based in Moorpark, CA, Ventura Cigar Company was a 2012 startup as the premium cigar division of Kretek International Group, Inc., best known for their Djarum brand kretek cigarettes. Headed by Dr. Mark Cassar (a former chiropractor by trade), making a premium cigar brand was something he always wanted to do. So, with help from his longtime friend, Nestor Plasencia Sr., who blended and manufactured the company's first two cigars, Estilo Cubano and Pura Sangre, the Ventura Cigar Company (VCC) was born.

Today, continuing on their mission to create memorable, complex cigars that reward the most discriminating palates, Ventura Cigar Company has fallen in line among the leading boutique cigar brands.
