Plasencia built Alma del Fuego Concepcion as a love letter to Ometepe, blending Nicaraguan tobaccos with a sun grown Jalapa wrapper and a heavy dose of Ometepe leaf aged for seven years to bring out the island’s volcanic character. The smoke lands medium-plus to full-bodied with roasted nuts, coffee, sweet wood, and a flicker of spice, then adds little flashes of tangerine, cashew, cocoa, and pepper that keep every puff lively. Box-pressed and handmade in Nicaragua by the Plasencia family, it feels rich, warm, and savory from the start, like dark roast and toasted almonds with a touch of citrus zest on the finish.
