Artesano Del Tobacco and AJ Fernandez have collaborated again, bringing tons of full-body strength with El Pulpo Cigars. The inception of the project dates back to 2016. After 7 years of testing multiple blends and blending techniques, including different fermenting and aging processes, AJ and the team reached cigar perfection. El Pulpo translates to "The Octopus" and Billy and Gus Fakih, co-owners of Artesano Del Tobacco, explain the name in the El Pulpo press release. "We wanted a blend that fits people’s palates the way an octopus fits in different shapes & spaces and becomes that shape, we wanted a blend that becomes hard for any smoker to put down once they light up like an octopus that doesn’t let go of its prey.”
These box-pressed cigars will come in a ten-count box and will feature proprietary Nicaraguan tobacco from AJ's family farms harvested from the choicest seeds and carefully blended with a toothy dark Maduro Mexican San Andes wrapper. Expect strong notes of pepper right from the start which will settle down nicely into some complex flavors that include licorice, fruitiness, and dark, which will settle down nicely into some complex flavors, including chocolate.
