In recent years, PDR Cigars underwent a rebranding, with the abbreviation of its name now representing Puros Dominican Republic, instead of the previous iteration of Pinar Del Río. Abe Flores, the owner of the brand, mentions that their motive behind the change was to identify less with Cuba and establish a stronger connection with the DR, which is the location of their PDR company and cigar factory in Tamboril, Dominican Republic.

In the early 2000s, Abe Flores began collaborating with the Rodriguez brothers to create high-quality premium cigars. This partnership has since resulted in a variety of successful and diverse products for the cigar masses. This 18th Anniversary commemorates this collaboration with an incredible blend. The Flores Y Rodriguez 18th Anniversary line is a fresh take on the original 10th Anniversary. This updated version features an Ecuadorian Sumatra Maduro wrapper in place of the 10th's Habano wrapper. The filler blend boasts seven-year-old Dominican Republic Piloto Cubano, including both Seco and Ligero, as well as Nicaraguan Viso from Jalapa.
