La Flor Dominicana Claro is La Flor's first-ever candela cigar! The blend features Ecuadorian candela wrappers surrounding a blend of Dominican longfillers grown on La Flor Dominicana's own La Canela farm, plus Nicaraguan binders. While medium in strength and body, the cigars offer full flavors with a distinctively sweet, toasty aroma. It's everything you love about candela, with a flavor profile built for those who enjoy La Flor Dominicana's signature heartiness. Try a box today!
This cigar is a gorgeous churchill in a bright, emerald-green wrapper. The draw is close to perfect, the construction and density just about perfect. I find this a medium-full smoke, and having just finished one feel slightly woozy. The flavor is very different from virtually any other cigar I've had in my life, and I thoroughly enjoyed every puff. It does have a somewhat vegetal, grassy flavor, but also a deep, rich, earthy tobacco flavor you'd expect from a quality cigar. LFD has yet to disappoint me, but I think that, to me, this surpasses even the Double Ligero maduro. If it were more affordable, it would likely constitute the bulk of my humidor's contents. This is a cigar which might go better with an oolong or even green tea than with coffee, and if you are a drinker (I've given up the sauce) might actually complement a quality saison beer like Hennepin or Foret. Thoroughly recommended unless you inherently dislike candela.
bought a 5 pack..decent smoke but so far im 3 for 3 removing band and a piece of wrapper comes off with band...too much glue!
Hot smoke, one out of 10 smoked okay. The cigars seem to me to be loose in construction. I hope to be able to find AF 858 Claros again one day
