EPC La Historia cigars are a tribute to each member of the Perez-Carrillo family who made this young, yet legendary company what it is today.
These cigars are well-known for their accolades, the EP Carrillo La Historia E-III cigar took the #2 spot in Cigar Aficionado's Top-25 Cigars of 2014 with an impressive 95-rating score. This same cigar has come back around 7 years later to post up in the Top 25 again in 2021 with a 92- rating at the #24 spot.
Perez Carrillo 19 Historia cigars are made in a limited-edition batch with a top-notch blend of bold and flavorful Dominican & Nicaraguan long-fillers, over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and finished in a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. EP Carrillo La Historia cigars present a medium-full profile capturing an opulent smoke with notes of cocoa, and coffee balanced with earthy and spicy notes.

I?m working my way through Cigar Aficionado?s 2021 Top 25 list and this one is a keeper. I like strong smokes and this one surely qualifies. it has a nice draw and burns evenly throughout.
Excellent cigar. Nice blend of tobaccos, very smooth. Paired nicely with a cognac finished rye whiskey, but might try straight bourbon or scotch next time since it isn t a particularly spicy cigar. The burn was near perfect and held over an inch of ash at a time. While it isn t a cheap stick, it is far less than some other popular high end smokes and is just as good if not better.
* This is my first time smokng the EP Carrillo Senador. I would qualify this cigar with one word Outstanding.
One of my favorites.
Wonderful smoke. Great tasting, consistent burn, long lasting. I love the Encore too but I think La historia is better. I prefer full flavored cigars and La historia is a bit stronger than the Encore. Both worthy number ones. I have at least 4 boxes of each on hand in case I'm stranded for a couple of days
Excellent draw, burn, construction, complexity.. One of my favorites!
Very real sweet tobacco smell with a hint of roasted almonds.
