The Late hour cigar selection takes Davidoff's range to a new dimension. The inspiration for this edition comes from the fact that Sir Winston liked to work into the dark, wee hours of the night when all was quiet and he could concentrate, always accompanied by his cigars and a good bottle of Scotch whiskey.
The multidimensional blend starts with a dark, shimmering Ecuador Habano Marron Oscuro wrapper that caps a core of Dominican Piloto Seco, San Vicente Mejorado & Olor Visus, plus Nicaraguan Estelà & Condega Visus tobaccos, all bound in a naturally sweet Mexican San Andrés Negro leaf. Additionally, the Nicaraguan fillers are grown in the volcanic soils of Condega and Estelà for spice and depth, but the Condega Visus is aged in Scotch single malt whisky casks to add an oaky sweetness to the mix. And if that recipe doesn't impress you, the smoke certainly will.
Cigar Advisor editor, Gary Korb, wrote in his review of The Late Hour Churchill: "After a few peppery puffs, the cigar quickly rounds-out to an ultra-creamy, chewy, medium-full smoke with notes of coffee bean and sweet spices. Later, notes of caramel and oak weave their way in."
Offered in Churchill, Toro and Robusto shapes, if you're in the market for a luxury-class cigar that's both creamy-smooth and full-flavored from end-to-end, make this cigar part of your prized collection and if you can, pair it with a fine, long-aged single malt for the ultimate Winston Churchill The Late Hour cigar experience.
