A product of Hirochi Robaina, grandson of Alejandro Robaina, the renowned Cuban cigar master blender also known as the ""Godfather of Cuban tobacco."" Dating back to 1845, Robaina-grown tobacco has been used in such famous Cuban cigars as Hoyo de Monterrey and Cohiba, among others, and Alejandro was so celebrated for his tobaccos that in 1997 Habanos S.A. created the Vegas Robaina cigar brand in his honor. Several years before his death in 2009, Alejandro handed over the reins of his tobacco operation to Hirochi.
With such an enormous reputation to live up to, Hirochi is making his own cigars at the La Corona factory in EstelĂ, Nicaragua with Nicaraguan tobaccos and Ecuador Havana wrappers. Offered in three full-flavored blends, HR Blue, HR Claro, and HR Habano 2000, the cigars range from medium to full in body and are all-handcrafted in the true Cuban tradition with slightly flat triple seamed caps and closed feet. With tobacco running through his veins, Hirochi's natural gift for creating great cigars is something that's better experienced than described. Available in boxes and 5-packs, choose the HR cigar that's right for you and make them part of your valuable collection.
